Today I went to Babies 'R' Us to use a Birthday Coupon we got in the mail. The plan was to get an umbrella stroller for our summer travels, but I came out with a little more... THE CUTEST Detroit Tigers hat EVER! And since Josefine looks just dazzling in ballcaps, I had to get it (not to mention she already had a matching onsie, which made the deal pretty irresistable). You could also say it was an early Father's Day gift. Well, Jim absolutely adored it and thanked me for getting it, even! See...coming out of a store with more than what you planned on getting isn't all bad. And of course, I noticed the orange highlights in both the hat and the onsie were perfect for today's entry!
We got up this morning and discovered our water heater
The boys and I went to the pool and had a picnic with Aunt Holly and some friends! What a perfect day to get wet!

this is my patriotic section in my rock garden, my husband loved rocks and these were favorites of his.
On our way to vote in the primaries, we stopped at the beach (????) - yes, we are that random. And I brought a little non-sand-growing flower with me that I bought from Hy-Vee and that is orange (imagine that) for a little first-time-on-the-beach photoshoot with my Darling Girl. She ate sand and hated it, she accidently (my fault) rolled down a sandy dune and waded with Mama for the first time in the shores of Iowa waters that we call "the beach." It was a splendid, happy time indeed! ♥
I am way behind but wanted to post some pics. We had a fun little getaway to Kansas City over Memorial weekend. Found some fun things to take pics of! (So I couldn't decide on just one :) Kate Metheny
We went to a friends house today and played with play-doh. I got kind of creative!
I am kinda in a shoe feddish as of late. Love these sandals...they are so cute! Promised I wouldn't tell who's they were because she doesn't like her feet, but I thought it was a cute picture to share anyway! :)
After I got my work done for the day I sat outside and watched the hummingbirds again today.
Today's photo shows another thing we love about Birthdays! Josefine will be turning ONE soon, and part of this weekend's Birthday Shenanigans was BALLOONS! As it turns out, balloons are a new favorite thing for Josefine, "Ooohhh," is about all she can seem to muster when she sees one or is playing with one. Today was no exception. I particularly LOVE this photo because of the relationship it shows between Josefine and her Papa...so fun and full of smiles. ♥
June is a very special month. Josefine and my dear friend's son, Aaron celebrate their 1st Birthdays (only 1 week apart!), so we visited our friends for an early Birthday Party. Here is just one of the photos from this weekend. Yes, the bowl is REALLY orange. ;) Don't you just LOVE a messy 1st Birthday Cake!
