mmmeatballs!
Yesterday for lunch we had meatballs and mashed potatoes. Seth ended up having 4 or 5 meatballs. He eats like double what Andrew eats...it is no wonder that they are two years apart but only a half a pound apart. He is my big eater!

Boots!
>> Saturday, June 26, 2010
It has been so soggy out with all the rain, that the boys have been playing outside in their boots instead of their sandals this summer.
Childhood memories.
I helped my cousin move into her new house the other day and these were the decorations in her boy's new room...not for long though. They got taken down pretty quickly! I use to have a stuffed carebear when I was little. It is the one with the sunshine on it. I had to get a picture...it brought back memories.
Tree frog fun!
As you can tell reptiles are a favorite in our house. Daddy brought two of these home for the boys to see. They "played" with them for about a half hour before I made them let them go.
In memory...
Mommy Love!
This is my friend Melissa and her daughter. Loved this pic of them as Melissa was reading to her.
calla lily
My mom has the most awesome green thumb. She has had this plant for several years, takes it to the basement faithfully each winter, out in spring and VOILA a beautiful bloom!
Upside Down Cat
This little gal is my main companion and especially in her " condition". Wait til she has her kittens....... I will be even more boring !!

Things you see on a flying trip to Ohio
All of these photos were taken on our drive this afternoon. We left Grand Rapids, MI around 2pm and arrived in Columbus, OH around 7pm. We will leave tomorrow around 1pm to be home in time for a 7pm missionary commissioning service at our church. Brian has a quick training class to take while the kids and I hopefully visit the popular local zoo. A very short, but colorful adventure.

Myron had me get the camera!
When my in laws get together all my MIL's siblings (there were 6 but there are now only 5) all sing. Their father had a gospel quartet and he taught them all to sing. Uncle Larry hadn't played the guitar with them since back when my hubby was a child but Aaron brought his out and I caught this shot.
Movies! Movies! Movies!
This is yesterday's post. Not a great quality picture, but this was my day yesterday. My middle son has had a high fever for a couple of days, so we watched movies ("Toy Story II" here) while he rested on the couch.
After the storm

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. -Rabindranath Tagore
It's amazing how beautiful the world can become after a terrible storm.
A PLACE TO HEAL
We ate dinner tonight at a Mexican restaurant we enjoy and it happens to be in the same block as Community Memorial Hospital. I spent 5 weeks here in the spring of 1997. After that, I was moved by ambulance to a hospital in Oxnard for 3 weeks. Oh, the memories.
