I am posting one picture for each day from our vacation so I can get caught up with the blog. This was taken at my husband's uncle's house. We stopped there for the night on our way back home.
We went to this beach right before sunset and there were hundreds (maybe even thousands?) of these little crabs running to get into their tunnels. They were so small (1-2 inches) and blended in with the sand. It was a little tricky to get around.
One of many alligators we saw at Wakullah Springs. This is were they filmed the Tarzan movies and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. There is a swimming area...and yes we went into the water, because as my niece said, the alligators "only come to that part at night because they don't like all of the splashing". That day the air temp was 99...water temp 69.
We're on to YELLOW, folks! Today we went to the ocean with grandma and grandpa...it was an absolutely beautious day! We don't own a yellow bucket, but someone does, or rather, did. We found some abandoned buckets on the beach, and Lucky Day they were yellow! So, we let Josefine play in the sand with the abandoned yellow buckets. Ah, family...the beach...and sunshine...and sand...and a yellow bucket. Perfect.
So, while admittedly behind, I am back. I've still been taking pics, just haven't kept up with the posting part. At first, I just didn't feel right posting, so prayed for my friend instead. Then I just got busier. So here we go. This is my Mother's Day present, although also belated.I took this photo last fall at Lake Red Rock. Easyshare and I are fighting, last three transfers it has EATEN my photos and wont give them back. So I had to resort to 'old' photos to share.
We enjoyed a lovely travel break today at a park in Arlington, Oregon with a playground, a walk in the sand on the banks of the Columbia River, ducks and Cheese Crakers with Peanut Butter - Josefine's first taste! And the perfect opportunity for a photograph of something ORANGE!
