My sister and I picked gooseberries this evening...enugh to make a pie, YEAH!!!
. day 31 .
. this was quite the day, and not many great photos to remember it by, but this one will do . dealing with sunburn (ouch!), losing keys in kohls, headaches all around, sitting in mall waiting out storm, having caffeine because decaf coffee was accidently made in the a.m., ending the day with toy story 3 .

Yellow Volkswagen Bug
We spotted this adorable Yellow VW Bug about half a block down the road from my grandparents house...and we just knew it would be the Yellow Photo of the Day. Josefine was even wearing a cute little 60's lookin' psychedelic dress! ♥
Starting out on vacation

The next day while driving through the valley we had a contest as to who could find the most lizards. The air was chilly (60s) so they were mostly out trying to raise their body temperatures and were easily spotted while sunning on the rocks. This was one of the first and ended with a count of Greg 5, Hannah 8, and me only 2, but I did manage to photograph most of them so I win, right?
Believe it or not (those of you who know me) I got up for the sunrise! OK we had headed west and it seemed like a normal time to wake up. This was the first shot I got after I stepped out on the balcony.
The first night we stayed right in Monument Valley Utah/Arizona. Every room in the hotel faced east so you could both see the sunset on the "monuments" and the sunset behind them. At night they projected a John Wayne movie on the wall outside so you could watch from your balcony. The movie was filmed here. This is the sunset shining on the monuments.
As we left Chicago the clouds were very thick and seemed almost impossible to penetrate.

Blank Park Zoo
This was a fun picture of the zoo parakeets but, it was very hard to choose when I had so many cute ones of the kids. But you will see them much more for sure, so I went with this.-jenni cederquist
Headed Home
I am posting one picture for each day from our vacation so I can get caught up with the blog. This was taken at my husband's uncle's house. We stopped there for the night on our way back home.
Watch Your Step
We went to this beach right before sunset and there were hundreds (maybe even thousands?) of these little crabs running to get into their tunnels. They were so small (1-2 inches) and blended in with the sand. It was a little tricky to get around.
Yikes!
One of many alligators we saw at Wakullah Springs. This is were they filmed the Tarzan movies and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. There is a swimming area...and yes we went into the water, because as my niece said, the alligators "only come to that part at night because they don't like all of the splashing". That day the air temp was 99...water temp 69.
Rodeo Sunday
Our church rodeo was this weekend as you could probably tell from my last couple of posts. Here are a couple more. ( since I didn't get any taken or posted yesterday)
This is probably my favorite picture that I took all weekend... It just makes me laugh!
